Bryan Dalton is Senior Vice President and Active Underwriter for RenaissanceRe Syndicate 1458. He is based in London and is responsible for the underwriting strategy, processes and standards for the Lloyd’s business of Renaissance Reinsurance Ltd. Previously, Mr. Dalton managed the International Property Catastrophe portfolio for RenaissanceRe, including the underwriting of retrocessional and primary reinsurance deals, and was based in Bermuda. Mr. Dalton began his career with the Company in 2002 in Dublin as a catastrophe analyst, moving to the Bermuda office in 2005 as Assistant Vice President within the reinsurance team. He was promoted to Vice President on the International Cat team in 2009 and named Senior Vice President in 2012. Mr. Dalton holds a Masters in Chemical Engineering from the University of Manchester and a Masters in Management Science from University College Dublin.
